There was no one in the studio this week so I had a chance to review and listen to one of my songs and kick back and enjoy being in a professional studio.

So Julie my project did not turn out as successful as I thought it would have. I ended up buying the wrong wire to connect to my points so that electricity can coninue to flow through my circuit since I burned off sopme of the metal strips on the board. I also did not have enough time to complete my project and get the alarm hooked up to my car. I really hope that I still get a good enough grade to pass the class anyways since I am giving a description on what I did as well as turning in my paper.

My plan for next week is to finish my project as well as do more research on the signal flow of my car alarm circuit. I think the most challenging part of this project will be connecting the alarm to my car and getting it to work accurately.

I did not get a chance to desolder my points because I went to Houston this past weekend and did not have time to work on my project. Other than the desoldering of my points, I have not been experiencing any problems.

This week’s dtudio monitoring was the same as last week’s. I ask if he needed any help and he said he didn’t need any. He was still equing all of the instruments.

I forgot to mention that I had to go out and buy a de-solderer because there are a few points that are soldered together. After I de-solder those points then I will be back up and running.

I still have steady progress with my project. Everything seems to be going well so I should have a good result when I am finished.

This week there was a student working on his band’s song. I gave him some ideas on equing his drum sound because he was having some problems with getting it to sound the way he wanted it to. Other than helping him EQ his drum sound, thats all I helped out with. Overall everything went smooth.

The only thinf that I really have left to do is to connect the alarm to my car. I will do so by connecting it to one of the fuses in my fuse box. I am excited to get it working. Burglars beware!

I was able to get the wires that I need to run to the next soldering point in my circuit. I am coming along with my project smoothly and should be have it complete soon.

There was one student editing his mix inthe studio. I gave him some ideas on equing his mix. Other than equing, there was nothing else he needed help with.

There was a student and a instructor working in pro-tools in the studio. They didn’t have any instrument tracking going on and they did not need any help.

So this week I have been extremely busy and did not get a chance to go out and get a piece of metal wire to run through my circuit so the problem I have can be fixed. I will do that this weekend. But for the most part, I just read the final instructions on how the project actually gets connected to the car. I also made sure that I knew where to run my metal piece of wire once I get it.

My studio montoring on tuesday was the first day that there was a group doing a session. The only thing that I helped them with was setting up the duality. They were able to handle everything else. Other than helping them set up the duality, I just watched them and was available for any help.

In the previous meeting of class I learned from the teacher that there was still hope in making my project work even though I burned of two metal strips that connect the solder and the electrical components to the board. I learned from the teacher that If you connect a metal piece of wire to the component and follow the ciruit path on the board and connect that same metal wire to the next component then elecricity will still be able to flow through the circuit. That is defeinitely good news to me and that is exactly what Im going to do. This project will work after all.

I was soldering in a resistor on my board and I burned off two of the metal strips that connects the components to the board. There is nothing more fustrating when working on a project than realizing that your project might not work after it s finished. So I thought to myself that there must be something I can do to make it still work after I finish it.
